Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026-06-25
These Terms govern every boat rental supplied by Ant malatestas monoprosopi ike (trading as Paros Rent a Boat). By confirming a booking you accept them.
1. The operator
Ant malatestas monoprosopi ike, Port of Pounta — Foinikes, Paroikia, Livadia, Paros 84400, Greece. VAT: 800640380 · GEMI: 133555638000 · Port-authority licence: Γκλ 38 αριθ. 03.
2. Eligibility & licences
- Self-drive boats up to 30 HP may be operated without a national boating licence under Greek law (Π.Δ. 269/2018), provided the renter is at least 18 years old and has received the on-site safety briefing.
- For boats above 30 HP the renter must hold a valid boating licence recognised in Greece, or hire the boat with one of our skippers.
- A valid passport or national ID is required at check-in; we record the details required by the port authority.
3. Booking, payment & deposit
- Bookings are confirmed once we acknowledge availability in writing (WhatsApp, email or SMS).
- A security deposit (held by card pre-authorisation or cash) is collected at check-in and refunded after the boat is returned undamaged with a full fuel tank where applicable.
- Prices are quoted in EUR and include VAT where applicable. Fuel, optional skipper, lunch and harbour fees may be extra and are disclosed before booking.
4. Safety & operating rules
- Maximum number of persons on board is fixed by the boat's certificate and may not be exceeded.
- Life jackets must be carried for every person and worn by children at all times.
- No navigation outside the agreed area; no night navigation; no transport of passengers for reward.
- Operating the boat under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden and voids insurance.
- The renter must follow port-authority orders and weather restrictions (Beaufort limits) communicated at check-in.
5. Weather cancellation
If the local port authority bans sailing for your boat class, or our captain considers conditions unsafe, the rental is postponed or fully refunded. No partial refund applies for sea conditions within legal limits.
6. Damage, loss & insurance
- Every boat carries third-party liability insurance ([TO BE FILLED — insurance company + policy number]) as required by Greek law.
- The renter is liable, up to the security-deposit amount, for damage caused by negligence, grounding, propeller damage, loss of equipment or late return.
- Damage exceeding the deposit caused by gross negligence, intoxication or breach of these Terms is the renter's full responsibility.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the rental price paid. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost holidays, missed connections or personal items left on board. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Greek consumer-protection law.
8. Personal data
See our Privacy Policy.

Complaints can be sent to info@parosrentaboat.gr. These Terms are governed by Greek law — courts of Syros / Paros, Greece. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
